We partner with community organizations to provide weekly pantries all across San Francisco and Marin.
Access to these pantries is open to San Francisco and Marin residents. Click below to find a pantry that serves your neighborhood.
We partner with local public schools and community-based organizations to address food insecurity faced by children and their families. Families can attend a weekly pantry, located right on their child’s school or at community-based organizations. These pantries do not distribute foods that are high in sugar or sodium.
Access to these pantries is limited to students, their families, or current participants. Contact your child’s school or your social worker/case manager to find out whether there is a weekly pantry at your school or in your neighborhood.
We partner with nonprofit housing providers to meet the unique challenges of individuals and families living in supportive housing. The weekly pantry is located on-site, and the menu is geared to the cooking facilities available within the building. These pantries are often run with the volunteer support of the residents.
Access to these pantries is limited to residents. Contact your building’s case manager or resident services coordinator to find out whether there is a weekly pantry on site.
We partner with local universities and colleges to provide food to students that are struggling to balance the high costs of education and being able to meet their basic needs. Low-income students can access free, fresh produce and other food items on a weekly basis. Access to these pantries is limited to students currently enrolled at the school. Contact your university or college to find out whether there is a weekly pantry on site.
We collaborate with healthcare providers to connect patients with free groceries, nutrition education, and CalFresh (food stamps). Patients are referred by their physicians to our weekly, farmers’ market-style pantries, located right at the clinics where they receive medical care. At the Food Pharmacies, patients can enhance their cooking skills through cooking demonstrations, receive nutrition and health tips, undergo health screenings, and get referrals to other food assistance programs.
Access to these pantries is limited to current patients. Contact your clinic to find out whether there is a weekly pantry on site.
