Help Us Fight Hunger During The Holidays

The ongoing pandemic has made this upcoming holiday season like no other. As an essential service, the Food Bank continues to do the day-in and day-out job of distributing food to the community any time of the year.

Now, more than ever, our continued efforts are critical to ensuring that those with limited financial resources get access to the food they need. Together, we can fight hunger and make sure everyone has a full table this holiday season.

Our Response To The COVID-19 Crisis

As the COVID-19 situations intensifies daily, we've been putting various solutions in place to prepare for whatever challenges may come our way. Here are some of the ways we've ramped up efforts to overcome growing barriers to food access:

Home-Delivered Groceries To The Most Vulnerable

Low-income seniors are often the most vulnerable to food insecurity, and now they are facing even more challenges given they are also the most vulnerable to COVID-19. Our home-delivery program helps provide groceries to homebound seniors.

Launching Pop-Up Food Pantries

We have been opening pop-up pantries across SF and Marin to accommodate people who have lost access to food due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We also have seven pantries at schools that are offering to-go meals and pre-bagged groceries for students.

Calfresh Outreach

We help eligible neighbors access CalFresh (food stamps) benefits, one of the best ways to end hunger. Our team is working around the clock to provide application assistance over the phone.

We Need Your Help

The Food Bank is now facing an unprecedented challenge to support our neighbors who are currently food insecure, as well as those who may now be facing hunger as a result of lost hours, wages, or jobs.

With the ongoing pandemic, your help is needed more than ever. By making a donation, you can help us continue providing food to vulnerable people in our community. For every $1 donated, we are able to provide enough food for 2 meals.

Everyone deserves a full table during the holidays.
