What: Are you passionate about healthy eating? Do you love teaching? Do you have a background in education, nutrition or dietetics? The Nutrition Education team is looking for skilled, dedicated interns and volunteers to teach basic nutrition and cooking classes to residents in San Francisco and Marin Counties. We’ll provide the training.
This is a chance to lead cooking and nutrition classes, and attend health-related events on behalf of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Our volunteers and interns teach while leading cooking demonstrations; they lead indirect education, and/or Nudges trainings; they support with content creation. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old.
Who: Individuals, 18+, bilingual preferred
Where: Offsite at various partner locations
When: As needed, we ask for a 10-hour commitment (volunteer) or a 60-hour commitment (intern).
Requirements: Attend provided training, valid California Food Handlers Certificate, valid driver’s license, and willing to drive own car between Food Bank and various sites while volunteering.
