Founded in 2019, the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s Young Professionals Council (YPC) is a diverse group of civically engaged individuals under forty with the shared goal to increase awareness, engagement, and support from the next generation of philanthropists and community leaders.
The Young Professionals Council is a community that supports efforts to close the hunger gap in San Francisco and Marin by building awareness about the unseen problem of hunger and engaging with and giving back to their neighbors.
Engagement & Awareness – We are committed to deepening our own knowledge and the knowledge of others as we seek to heighten the visibility of hunger in our community.
Giving – We will provide opportunities for young professionals to make a direct impact by giving their time, talent, and resources to solving hunger.
Community – We are an inclusive community connecting young professionals together to achieve the same goal of eliminating hunger.
Every $1 donated provides 2 meals.
Consider joining our #YP83 giving circle – give $83 every month, which in a year will add up to $1,000 – and provide food for 2,000 meals!
Make your body healthy as we keep our community healthy.
The San-Francisco Food Bank’s Young Professionals Council invites you to join them in training for a virtual 5K with REBEL FOR A CAUSE. Whether you’re pushing for a new personal best or looking for a reason to get moving, a REBEL360 virtual race gives you a very real finish line to run (or walk) toward.
100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank to provide food to our neighbors and support their health and well-being. Register by March 14!
Subscribe to our mailing list, and we’ll be in touch soon about networking events and volunteer opportunities, and ways you can get involved.
