1 in 4 residents in San Francisco and Marin is at risk of hunger. They are choosing between medication and food, paying rent, or feeding their children. No one should be forced to make such impossible choices. In our community, our corporate partners make a huge impact on peoples lives – all while being affiliated with one of the Bay Area’s most well-known and well-loved nonprofits.
Last year, we collaborated with more than 770 companies and foundations; their financial support enabled us to provide enough food for more than 6 million meals.
Every week, 30,000 families receive fresh groceries at the Food Bank’s 260+ neighborhood pantries.
This year, we will distribute 48 million lbs. of food across San Francisco and Marin counties.
Of the food we distribute, more than 60% is fresh produce.
Our network of 260+ neighborhood pantries is just one way that the Food Bank works to end hunger. With your support, we continue to introduce programs that improve access to nutritious food and empower neighbors in need.
In 2017, we partnered with San Francisco State University and College of Marin to connect low-income students with healthy food and CalFresh right on campus.
In 2014, we expanded our Home-Delivered Groceries program in San Francisco to support better health, reduce isolation, and increase self-sufficiency for seniors and adults with disabilities.
In 2016, we began collaborating with health clinics to connect patients with free, healthy groceries, nutrition education, and CalFresh (food stamps).
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank provides sponsors with opportunities that align with your philanthropic goals. Here are just a few ways that your company can partner with the Food Bank:
Inspire and ignite your employees and customers to participate in your workplace giving campaign and matching-gift programs. We can help!
The Food Bank can leverage your financial support for good. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank is able to provide $5 worth of food. That’s an ROI that’s hard to beat.
For every product sold or transaction made, your company donates a meal (50 cents) or a portion of profits (in-store/point-of-sale).
The Food Bank is proud to recognize our sponsors with marketing and PR opportunities that align with your company’s goals. For example, we recognize our key sponsors on all our social media channels, on our website, and in our monthly e-news. Click below to download our list of recognition opportunities.
