Use our Food Locator tool to find food assistance in San Francisco and Marin. Our tool can help you locate weekly free food, monthly food boxes for seniors, one-time emergency food, or help to enroll in CalFresh (food stamps).
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is committed to serving residents regardless of their immigration status.
Every week, our pantry network distributes fresh, seasonal produce, lean protein, grain, and shelf-stable items to anyone who is struggling to buy food. During the Covid-19 crisis, we have launched pop-up pantries that are open to the public. For sites requiring onsite registration, please bring ID (if possible) to register at location.
Due to the “shelter in place” order, we ask that you only attend one pantry and send one person per household to pick up groceries.
We update the available pantries on a regular basis; please check back often.

CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program for individuals and families. Formerly known as food stamps and known nationally as SNAP, CalFresh benefits are deposited monthly on an EBT card, which works like a debit card, to purchase food at your local supermarket, grocery store, or farmers market. As of June 1st, people who receive SSI/SSP are eligible to apply for CalFresh. Our CalFresh Outreach team is ready to assist you with your application today!
The Supplemental Food Program provides a monthly box of quality U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) food to low-income seniors over 60. Click below for eligibility requirements and locations.
