We help college students achieve their academic and life goals by providing weekly groceries right on campus.
When low-income college students can focus on their studies, instead of worrying about how to afford their next meal, they are much more likely to succeed.
After pausing for a bit during the past year, this service is beginning to start up again.
We partner with local colleges to provide food to low-income students who struggle to balance the high costs of education and affording basic needs. Eligible students can access free, fresh produce and other groceries on a weekly basis. By providing food right on campus, we make it easy for students to drop in, pick up food, and get back to the hard work of pursuing their education.
We partnered with 6 colleges
to host food pantries
We served over 995 students
“There was a month not too long ago when I was eating once or maybe twice a day, just because I couldn’t afford to buy food after paying all of my classes and books."
- Mayrane, pre-med student at San Francisco State University.
"I'm like a lot of college students...dealing with hunger and food insecurity, combined with financial terror. But things turned around once I found out about the campus pantry. I'm eating healthier, and feeling physically and mentally better every day."
- Ben, student at College of Marin
"My studies don’t allow me to work much, so I used to skip a lot of meals. That all changed when the food pantry opened on campus. I’m now able to focus on my next exam rather than my next meal."
