2017 was another amazing year.
Look at all we accomplished together.
You helped us address hunger head on.
48 million pounds of food were distributed across San Francisco and Marin.
60% of the food distributed was fresh produce.
Every week, 144,000 neighbors received groceries from our neighborhood pantries.
You helped us meet the need.
In high-need schools, 4,693 students received daily snacks to fuel learning.
Another 482 seniors and people with disabilities enrolled in our Home-Delivered Groceries Program.
Our Nutrition Education Team taught 160+ classes.
We helped 1,700 people apply for CalFresh (food stamps), one of the best ways to end hunger.
Our 263rd pantry opened thanks to your generous support.
Your generosity fueled innovation.
In 2017, we launched:
3 Food Pharmacies
Collaborated with health clinics to connect patients with free, healthy groceries, nutrition education, and CalFresh (food stamps).
2 College Pantries
Partnered with community colleges to connect low-income students with healthy food and CalFresh right on campus.
1 Mobile Pantry
Within its first month, our new mobile pantry reached 28 low-income families who live in remote West Marin County.
You raised your voice and helped our Advocacy Team score big wins at local, state and national levels, including a $6M increase in CalFood funding.
Learn more about your impact
To help people impacted by North Bay wildfires and Hurricane Harvey, we sent 50,000 lbs. of food and water and loaned staff to assist with recovery efforts.
