The Board of Directors is the governing body of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank and is responsible for: determining the mission and purpose of the organization; selecting, supporting, and evaluating the Executive Director; strategic planning; and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organization. Individual Board members are expected to participate fully in board and committee meetings, and to support the Food Bank in the community. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank has conflict of interest policies and bylaws that limit service to prevent conflicts of interest. For example, current or recent employees, or those who are related to any who are or who have been compensated for services from the agency are conflicted from Board service.
