Last year, we moved our Marin operations to a new facility in San Rafael. Volunteer shifts in our Marin warehouse have been reduced for construction.

We’re excited to share that our new facility in San Rafael is three times bigger than our old space in Novato, enabling us to grow our services and enhance our volunteer program. As we have settled into the new building we are delivering food just as we were before the move. We’ve also opened the shop floor so agencies are picking up food as they always have. Today, much of this food is stored in temporary cooler space that we will replace with larger, permanent coolers during the next phase of construction. We’ve also moved and widened the driveway so our delivery trucks can access the warehouse more easily. And, we expanded our services by opening a new pantry in Tiburon.

Although we’ve made great strides, there’s still plenty to be done before we’re fully operational; including installing a permanent cooler and racks, and designing the volunteer space for maximum efficiency. Top of Form
The timeline to restart our Marin volunteer shifts depends on construction and building improvements being made in the new facility. We are eager to welcome volunteers to our new home, and we will continue to update this page with information.
During the pause in volunteer shifts, you can rest assured that our food distribution to neighbors in need will continue as usual in both Marin and San Francisco.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new space soon! Thank you for your continued support and all that you do for our community!
